3D Models now in the API

Attention CAD users: We're pleased to announce that 3D models from TraceParts can now be found in the Octopart API for a number of manufacturers. For now, the included manufacturers are Hirose, LEMO, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Telemecanique. We plan to expand this list over time.

If you want the 3D models returned in your API results, you'll need to add CADModel in the request using the include element (include[]=cad_models). Doing so will return download links, when available, to 3D models from TraceParts in the result set.

Give it a try today, and let us know what other manufacturers you'd like 3D models for.
